A FINE ROMAN BRONZE PHALLIC AMULET PENDANT
Circa 2nd-3rd century AD.
With a pointed tip representing the foreskin and an offset glans. A ridge from back to front on the underside of the phallus; a suspension loop at the top. These amulets (fascina) were thought to bring good luck and ward off evil spirits.
