A ROMAN BRONZE APPLIQUE BUST OF MINERVA
Circa 2nd-3rd century AD.
A solid cast, well modelled bronze applique bust depicting Minerva. The goddess with her head turned to the proper left is wearing tunic below a scaly aegis. On her head rests a high crested Corinthian helmet, decorated with two volutes on the sides.
