A LARGE MIGRATION PERIOD BRONZE BROOCH Circa 6th-7th century AD. So-called 'Slavic brooch'. Bow brooch with semicircular head plate with five knobs and triangular foot. Head plate and foot richly decorated with punched ring-and-dot motifs; the foot terminates in either a stylised human head or an animal head. Remains of the iron spring preserved, pin missing; somewhat bent and patina slightly damaged in places. L 97 mm
