A ROMAN BRONZE PHALLIC APPLIQUE Circa 1st-3rd century AD. A fine bronze applique in the form of a three-dimensional phallus and testes. Above the phallus a trapezoidal projection, representing the pubic hair. Three studs for attachment on the reverse. Probably attached to an object to ward off evil spirits. H 22 mm
