A ROMAN SILVER AMULET PENDANT OF HARPOCRATES Circa 1st-3rd century AD. Harpocrates, or 'Horus the Child', the son of Isis and Osiris, is depicted as a young boy with a child's sidelock of hair and a finger to his mouth. He wears the crowns of Upper and Lower Egypt and holds a cornucopia. At his feet, Anubis and the Horus falcon. At the back, an attachment loop and a small silver ring for suspension. Small part of the crown broken, otherwise intact. H 36 mm
