ISLAMIC, Seljuks. Rum. Ghiyath al-Din Kay Khusraw II, first reign, AH 634-644 / AD 1237-1246. Dirham (Silver, 21 mm, 3.00 g, 10 h), Qunya (Konya), AH 641 = 1243/4 AD. Legend with the name of the Abbasid Caliph caliph Al-Musta'sim Lion walking to right; above, radiant sun with human face; to left and below lion, stars. Rev. Legend with the titles of Ala al-Din Kay Qubadh, the mint and the date within and around central square. Broome 246F. Some striking flatness, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
