Baldwin II, wearing armor and conical helmet, standing facing, holding sword in his extended right hand and his left on his shield, set on the ground. Rev. Patriarchal cross on base of two steps, large pellet in the upper angles, three pellets and sprig in the lower. CCS 7. Metcalf 113-4. Schlumberger pl. 1, 1. Wäckerlin 164. With attractive earthen highlights; unusually sharp condition for type. Overstruck as usual, on a follis of Richard di Salerno (CCS 5), otherwise, very fine.
