MESOPOTAMIA. Edessa. Septimius Severus, with Abgar VIII, 193-211. (Bronze, 14 mm, 2.06 g, 5 h). CEOYH-POC Bare head of Septimius Severus to right. Rev. ABΓΑΡΟ B-ACIΛΕIO Diademed and draped bust of Abgar to right, wearing tiara. RPC IV online 8979 (same dies as 8979.4). A scarce variety. Very fine.
