IONIA. Miletos. Circa 294-281 BC. Drachm (Silver, 15 mm, 3.65 g, 12 h), Zeuxileos. Laureate head of Apollo to left. Rev. ZEYΞIΛEΩΣ Lion standing left, his head turned back to right; above, 8-pointed star; to left, Miletos monogram; in exergue, magistrate’s name. Apparently unpublished, cf. Deppert-Lippitz 437 for the magistrate, but as a didrachm. Nicely toned and with a head of Apollo of fine style and high relief; extremely rare for this magistrate. Very fine.
