Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ AΛEΞANΔPOY Zeus seated left on a throne with ornamented back, holding long scepter in his left hand and, in his right, eagle standing right with closed wings; to left, monogram above grape cluster on stem; below throne, Z. Price P155 (as Arados). SC CAd43.13. A toned example with a high relief portrait and struck from dies prepared by a very skillful artist. Some scuffs, otherwise, good very fine.
