Solidus (Gold, 20 mm, 4.38 g, 6 h), Constantinople, 1st officina (A), 661-663. d N CONS-TNAI Facing busts of Constans II, large and with long beard, and Constantine IV, smaller and beardless, both wearing crowns with cross and Constans with a plume above as well; between them, cross. Rev. VICTORIA AVႺЧ A / CONOB Cross potent on base and three steps between standing facing and crowned figures of Heraclius and Tiberius, each holding a globus cruciger. DOC 30a. MIB 31. SB 964. Clear and attractive. Struck from slightly rusty dies and with some very minor flat areas, otherwise, good extremely fine.
