DYNASTS OF LYCIA. Amartite, circa 490/80-440/30 BC. Stater (Silver, 22 mm, 10.63 g, 3 h). Crab seen from above. Rev. ãmrtite (in retrograde Lycian letters). Crab seen from above, in a pelleted border within an incuse square. Mørkholm & Neumann, M13 = SNG Copenhagen Supplement 397 ( same obverse die ). Müseler III, 16 ( this coin ). Reuter 24 ( this coin ). Extremely rare. Bold, impressive and struck from fresh dies. Very minor die fault on the obverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
