Kyrene. Circa 500-480 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 23mm, 17.00 g 3). Silphium plant with large central flower, two buds, two fruits and four leaves. Rev. Silphium fruit between two opposed dolphins swimming upwards. Asyut 833. BMFA 1301. SNG Copenhagen 1163. Rosen 769. Very rare. Nicely toned, clear and well-struck. Good very fine.
