Corinth. Circa 400-375 BC. Stater (Silver, 22mm, 8.58 g 12). Pegasus standing right, his left leg raised and his head bent down as if grazing. Rev. Head of Aphrodite to left, wearing Corinthian helmet with leather neck guard; behind neck, bucranium. BCD Corinth 61. Calciati 213. A lovely, clear coin with a remarkably elegant depiction of Pegasus. Good very fine. From a collection in Ticino, formed over 20 years ago.
