Andronicus II Palaeologus, 1282-1328. Trachy (Bronze, 19 mm, 1.44 g), Thessalonica. Large six-petalled flower or six-rayed star. Rev. Andronicus standing facing, between two large Bs, the one on the left reversed. DOC 789-792. SB 2393. Lovely old brown surfaces. Overstruck on an earlier issue with an irregular flan, otherwise, good very fine.
