This coin has also been attributed as being an anonymous Roman Tessera, as Berk BBS 200, 2017, 368 (= Roma E28, 2016, 110 - attributed to Thrace); in Gorny & Mosch 142, 2005. 1791 it was also attributed to Thrace. The present attribution to Amkyra is that of F. Kovacs in the Lindgren catalogue. The possibility of it being a Roman Imperial issue ought to be discarded.
