Description
CARIA. Knidos. Circa 490-465 BC. Drachm (Silver, 16 mm, 6.26 g, 6 h). Forepart of lion to right, with open jaws and outstretched right paw. Rev. Diademed head of Aphrodite to right. Cahn 66 (V30/R47). SNG Copenhagen 224 ( same dies ). A rare early variety; toned and struck on the usual tight flan. Good very fine.
