MACEDON. Koinon of Macedon. Time of Gordian III, 238-244. Triassarion (Bronze, 28 mm, 14.97 g, 7 h), Beroea. AΛEΞAN-ΔPOY Diademed head of Alexander the Great to right, with hair drawn backwards as if flowing in the wind. Rev. KOINON MAKEΔONΩN B NE Alexander the Great standing facing, head left, holding reversed spear and parazonium. AMNG 640. Rare. Fine light brown patina. Very fine.
