GREECE. Georgios I, 1863-1913. 1 Drachmi 1910 (Silver, 23 mm, 5 g, 6 h), Paris, struck from dies by Georgios Jakobides, reeded edge. ΓΕΩΡΓΙΟΣ Α! ΒΑΣΙΛΕΥΣ ΤΩΝ ΕΛΛΗΝΩΝ / 1910 Elderly head of George I to left; below truncation, in tiny letters, Γ. ΙΑΚΩΒΙΔΗΣ; privy marks cornucopia ( for the Mint Director ) and torch ( for the Engraver General, Henri-Auguste Patey, 1896-1930 ) flanking the date. Rev. ΔΡΑΧΜH Veiled Thetis, seated to left on a hippocamp swimming to right, holding, with her right hand, the shield of Achilles adorned with a facing gorgoneion, and resting her left on her waist.
