ITALY. Kingdom of Sicily. Roger II, 1130-1154. Tari (Gold, 12 mm, 1.16 g, 11 h), 5th period, Messina, 1151-1152. 'The King Roger, powerful through God' in Cufic script around central pellet within a double linear circle. Rev. IC XC / NI KA Processional cross, on the sides two horizontal segments; to upper left and right, circle; all surrounded by circular Cufic legend. D'Andrea, Normans' 235. MEC 208. Spahr 64. Travaini, Monetazione 220. Some minor marks, otherwise, very fine.
