BITHYNIA. Nicaea. Marcus Aurelius, as Caesar, 139-161. (Bronze, 16 mm, 3.12 g, 7 h). Μ ΑΥ ΑΝΤΟ-ΝΙΝΟC ΚΑΙC Bare head of Marcus Aurelius to right. Rev. ΝΙ-ΚΑ/ΙΕΩΝ Hexastyle temple with pellet in pediment. BMC 37. RPC IV, ID 25400.1 this coin. SNG Copenhagen -. SNG von Aulock -. Extremely rare, this is the only example known to RPC. Earthen encrustations, otherwise, about very fine.
