★ Extremely rare and seemingly unpublished ★

MESSENIA. Mothone. Septimius Severus, 193-211. (Bronze, 21 mm, 3.85 g, 6 h). [ΛOV CЄΠ CЄOVHPOC] or similar laureate bust of Septimius Severus to right. Rev. [M]OΘ[Ω]-NAIΩN Isis standing facing, head to left, holding sistrum in her raised right hand and situla in her left. Cf. BCD Peloponnesos 811.2 (reverse type, but of Plautilla). Cf. NCP p. 69, 4 (reverse type but for Julia Domna and Plautilla). Extremely rare and none sold in recent years. Rough surfaces, otherwise, fine.
