PTOLEMAIC KINGS OF EGYPT. Ptolemy II Philadelphos, 285-246 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 14.26 g, 12 h), Tyre, circa 274 BC. Diademed head of Ptolemy I to right, wearing aegis around neck. Rev. BAΣIΛΕΩΣ - ΠTOΛEMAIOY Eagle standing to left on thunderbolt; club surmounted by Tyre monogram to right field. CPE 561. Svoronos 644. SNG Copenhagen 482. Lightly toned. Struck on a tight flan, otherwise, extremely fine.
