NABATAEA. Aretas IV, with Shaqilat, 9 BC-AD 40. (Bronze, 17 mm, 4.70 g, 12 h), Petra, AD 17/18-39/40. Jugate busts to right of Aretas IV, laureate, draped and with moustache, and Shaqilat, laureate and veiled; in field to left, [H]; in field to right, Š (in Nabataean Aramaic). Rev. 'Aretas / Shaqi/lat' (in Nabataean Aramaic) Filleted crossed double cornucopia. Barkay 186. Meshorer, Nabataea 114. Well struck and with an attractive red-brown and green patina. About extremely fine.
