BOEOTIA. Thebes. Circa 395-338 BC. (Bronze, 13 mm, 1.88 g, 6 h), struck under the magistrates Pheido- and Aris-. Head of Herakles to left, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. ΦΕΙΔΟ / ΑΡΙΣ Club to left on bow. BCD Boeotia 563 var. (legend placement). SNG Copenhagen 362. Extremely rare legend variety; green patina. Light encrustations and old scratches; obverse struck slightly off-center, otherwise, good very fine.
