Macrinus, 217-218. Denarius (Silver, 21 mm, 3.63 g, 12 h), Rome, April-December 217. IMP C M OPEL SEV MACRINVS AVG Laureate and cuirassed bust of Macrinus to right. Rev. PONTIF MAX TR P P P Jupiter, nude, standing to left, holding thunderbolt in right hand and scepter with left. Clay Issue 2. Cohen 70. RIC IV 2. Toned. Minor encrustations on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
