Description

Domitian, as Caesar, 69-81. Denarius (Silver, 20 mm, 3.39 g, 6 h), Rome, 77-78. CAESAR AVG F DOMITIANVS Laureate head of Domitian to right. Rev. COS V She-wolf standing to left, head turned to right, suckling the twins Romulus and Remus; to exergue, boat. BMC 240. Cohen 51. RIC II.1 961. Lightly toned and well centered. Minor flan faults on reverse, barely noticeable in hand, otherwise, good very fine.
