MOESIA INFERIOR. Marcianopolis. Septimius Severus, 193-211. (Bronze, 28 mm, 10.47 g, 12 h), Struck under the magistrate Julius Faustinianus. AY K Λ CEΠ CEVHPOC Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Septimius Severus to right. Rev. [Y I AYCTINIA]NOY MAPKIAN-OΠOΛIT Cybele seated to left on throne, holding patera and resting elbow upon drum; lion reclining to left and right. Varbanov 773. Attractive green patina. Die shift on reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
