CAMPANIA. Neapolis. Circa 300 BC. Didrachm (Silver, 21 mm, 6.98 g, 6 h). Head of nymph Parthenope to right, wearing ampyx, triple pendant earring, and pearl necklace; in field behind her neck, X. Rev. [NE]OΠOΛITΩ[N] Man-headed bull (Acheloös) standing to right, his head turned to face the viewer; above, Nike flying to right, holding a palm branch to crown him; below bull, Θ. HN III 579. Sambon 476. SNG Paris 758-761. Toned. Flan faults and minor marks, otherwise, nearly very fine.
