Michael VI Stratioticus, 1056-1057. Tetarteron (Gold, 18 mm, 3.57 g, 6 h), Constantinople. MHP - ΘV Nimbate bust of the Virgin Mary facing, orans, wearing pallium and maphorium. Rev. +mIXAHΛ AЧ-TOCRAT Michael, crowned and wearing loros, standing facing on cushion, holding long cross with his right hand and akakia with his left. DOC 2. SB 1841. Very rare and sharply struck. Extremely fine.
