Head of Athena Parthenos to right, wearing a triple-crested Attic helmet, adorned with Pegasos and a long tendril on the bowl, and with four serpents on the visor. Rev. Α-ΘΕ /ΓΛ/ΑΥ -ΕΧΕ Owl standing facing on amphora; to right, draped and radiate facing bust of Helios; on amphora, E (= 5th month ); to left of owl, ΣΦ (= contractor's initials ); all within olive wreath. Thompson - but cf. 292 for an example with a different obverse die but with same controls. Well centered on a broad flan. Extremely fine.
