Description

GAUL. Massalia. Circa 49-25 BC. Small Bronze (Bronze, 13 mm, 2.93 g, 7 h). ΜΑΣ Helmeted head (bust?) of Minerva to right. Rev. Minerva standing to lef, wearing helmet and long robes and holding a spear and shield. BN 2052-2059. F/Py PBM 77. Well-struck and clear with a green patina. Good very fine.

From the Montecristo Collection, acquired from Leu Numismatics in Zürich in 1998, previously with Spink's at the Seattle ANA in August, 1998.
