APULIA. Luceria. Circa 211-200 BC. Quincunx (Bronze, 26 mm, 14.90 g, 10 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet; above, five pellets. Rev. L-O-V-C-E-R Wheel with eight spokes. Cf. HGC 1, 607 and HN III 678 and SNG ANS 699 ( but all with longer legend ). Extremely rare variant with 'LOVCER' rather than 'LOVCERI' legend. Black patina. Areas of minor roughness, otherwise, good very fine.
