THRACE. Lysimacheia. Circa 225-199/8 BC. (Bronze, 24 mm, 9.84 g, 11 h). Head of young Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress; c/m: lion's head facing within circular incuse. Rev. ΛΥΣΙ-ΜΑΧΕΩΝ Artemis advancing to right, holding transverse torch in both hands, her bow strung over her back. HGC 3.2, 1495 ( same countermark ). SNG Copenhagen 903-904. With a very curious countermark and an attractive lime green patina. Fine.
