Arcadius, 383-408. (Bronze, 22.5 mm, 5.31 g, 5 h), Constantinople, 3rd officina (Γ), 383. D N ARCA-DIVS P F AVG Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Arcadius to right, holding spear and shield, being crowned by manus Dei from above. Rev. GLORIA RO-MANORVM /CONΓ✶ Arcadius standing facing, head left, holding labarum and shield set on ground; to left, captive seated facing. RIC 53(b). LRBC 2153. Rare. A lovely example, well centered with an attractive brown glossy patina. Nearly extremely fine.
