L. Rubrius Dossenus, 87 BC. Quinarius (Silver, 15 mm, 2.41 g, 6 h), Rome. DOS-SEN Laureate head of Neptune right, with trident behind his neck. Rev. L. RVBR[I] Victory advancing to right, holding wreath and palm frond; altar to right. Babelon (Rubria) 4. Crawford 348/4. Sydenham 708. Lovely golden luster; scarcely encountered so attractive and struck on fine silver. Struck on a irregular flan, otherwise, very fine.
