PONTOS. Amisos. Time of Mithradates VI Eupator, circa 85-65 BC. (Bronze, 24 mm, 12.39 g, 12 h). Head of Perseus to right, wearing Phrygian helmet decorated with stars. Rev. AMIΣOY Pegasos grazing left; below, two monograms. HGC 7, 239. SNG BM Black Sea 1213. With a lovely chocolate patina and an appealing portrait; a particularly attractive coin. Very fine.
