ATTICA. Athens. Circa 449-404 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 22 mm, 17.21 g, 3 h), 440s-430s . Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet adorned with three olive leaves and palmette, round earring and pearl necklace. Rev. ΑΘΕ Owl standing right, head facing; behind, olive spray and crescent moon; all within incuse square. Cf. Sv. pl. 14, 8. Sharp and clear. Flan crack, and, on the obverse, a minor die fault and two minor bankers' marks, otherwise, about extremely fine.
