LUCANIA. Metapontum. Circa 340-330 BC. Nomos or Didrachm (Silver, 21 mm, 7.79 g, 6 h), Ami.... Head of Leukippos to right, wearing Corinthian helmet; to left, lion head to right; below chin, ΠΑ monogram. Rev. META Barley ear of seven grains, leaf to left; club above leaf; below, AMI. HN Italy 1575. Johnston Class B, 2.1-6 (big head and helmet). SNG ANS 434. Same dies as Triton XIX, 2016, 14. Attractive late Hellenistic style; powerful portrait. Good very fine.
