MEROVINGIANS. Uncertain mint. Circa 7th century. Triens (Gold plated copper or bronze, 13.5 mm, 0.74 g, 4 h), contemporary imitation. Uncertain legend. Diademed and draped bust to right. Rev. Uncertain legend. Cross on base above pellet; to left and right, R-Λ; all within wreath, surrounded by legend. Contemporary imitation based on an uncertain psudo-imperial issue. Very rare. Core visible at several spots, otherwise, very fine.
