Large Φ, with a large pellet at its center, within dotted square border with a pellet at each inner angle; all within an inches square. BCD Peloponnesos 82 ( same dies ). HGC 5, 142. From the Collection of Jonathan H. Kagan, acquired from Jencek Historical Enterprise.
This coin comes from a small group of rare coins (hemidrachms, trihemiobols and hemiobols), which can be attributed definitely to Phlious because some were apparently found there. Thus, the seemingly reasonable attribution to Phokis, as was the case with the hemiobol, below lot 1200) is absolutely out of the question.
