ΑΥΤ Κ ϹΕ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟϹ Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Severus Alexander to right, seen from behind. Rev. ΑΔΡ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Π ΜΟΨΕΑΤΩΝ ΓϘϹ Bridled and draped horse standing to left, carrying radiate crown on its back. RPC VI Online, 7169. SNG Paris 1994 ( same dies ). SNG von Aulock 8704. Very rare, and much finer than the four examples known to the RPC. A very attractive piece with a fine patina. Some roughness, otherwise, about extremely fine.

The reverse legend tells us that the coin was struck by the Hadrianic Alexandrian City (Π = Πολις) of the people of Mopsos.
