MYSIA. Lampsacus. Commodus, 177-192. (Bronze, 21 mm, 3.35 g, 6 h), circa 179-180. ΛOΥ ΑΥΡ ΚOΜOΔOϹ Laureate bust of a lightly bearded Commodus wearing cuirass and paludamentum to right, seen from rear. Rev. ΛΑΜΨΑΚΗΝωN Draped bust of bearded Priapus to right. RPC IV.2, 2367 (temp.). Extremely rare - only one specimen known to RPC ( a British Museum coin ). Somewhat rough obverse, otherwise, very fine.
