KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 13.5 mm, 2.02 g, 12 h), Arados, circa 328-320. Head of Herakles in lion’s skin headdress to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated left on high-backed throne, holding eagle in his outstretched right hand and scepter in his left; below throne, Α above Ρ; to left, Ζ. Price 3330. Rare. Clear and well-struck. Somewhat rough surfaces, otherwise, about extremely fine.
