SICILY. Leontini. Circa 450-440 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 16.50 g, 5 h). Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. VΕ-Ο-Ν-Τ-ΙΝΟ-Ν Lion’s head with open jaws to right; around, four barley grains. Boehringer, Münzgeschichte, 45 ( same obv. die as illustrated ). HGC 2, 667. Same dies as CNG 120, 2022, 55. Cabinet toning. Minor marks , otherwise, good very fine.
