Britannia seated left, placing her extended right hand on the tablets of the Constitution, and with her left resting on a shield decorated with the Union Jack; in background to right, statue of Neptune on garlanded base; above, MDCCCXVII (date in Latin); in the exergue, ENGLAND GIVES A / CONSTITUTION TO. Rev. Seven draped female figures, representing the seven Ionian islands, dancing around a British flag; on the right, in tiny letters close to the rim, DEPAULS F.; in the exergue, THE IONIAN ISLANDS; below, in tiny letters, MUDIE D..
