ISLAMIC, Seljuks. Rum. 'Ala al-Din Kay Qubadh I, AH 616-634 / AD 1220-1237. Fals (Copper, 31 mm, 8.13 g, 6 h), Siwas. St. George riding horse charging to right, slaying Dragon; around, circular inscription. Rev. Inscription in four lines across the field. Album 1213A. BN Seljuq 1752. ICV 1332. Very rare. Lovely dark brown patina, clear and well struck. Some striking flatness, otherwise, good very fine.
