Alexius III Angelus-Comnenus, 1195-1203. Aspron Trachy (Electrum, 29 mm, 4.26 g, 6 h), Constantinople, 1195-1197. [KE RO]-HΘEΙ / IC - XC Christ, nimbate, seated facing on backless throne, wearing pallium and colobium, raising his right hand in benediction and holding Book of Gospels in his left; stars in left and right fields. Rev. AΛEZIωC ΔECΠ KωNTANT (or similar) Alexius III, on left, wearing crown, divitision and loros, and St. Constantine, on right, in similar attire, both standing facing, each holding a cruciform scepter and together supporting a labarum between them.
