CILICIA. Uncertain mint. Circa 375-333 BC. Obol (Silver, 11 mm, 0.80 g, 6 h). Head of Aphrodite (?) facing, turned slightly to the left, wearing an ornate stephane, pendant earrings, and a pearl necklace; in the field to left, rose. Rev. Head of a youthful, beardless satrap to left, wearing bashlyk. Babelon, Perses p. XLVII, fig. 12. Winzer 18.1 ( Mazaios ). A lovely, toned coin, well-struck and sharp. Flan faults (traces of overstriking?) on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
