AEOLIS. Myrina. 4th century BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 13 mm, 1.97 g, 11 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing a crested Attic helmet adorned with a griffin to right on the bowl, an earring and a pearl necklace. Rev. Μ - Υ Bust of Artemis facing, turned very slightly to the left, wearing a pearl necklace and with her quiver at the back of neck. Imhoof-Blumer, ZfN 3, 1876, pl. VIII, 17. SNG Munich 567. Very rare. Toned and of fine style. Very fine.
